Done, Done, and Done...

Thursday was my last day at Williamsburg.

It was happy and sad.

It was happy because I have been miserable for a while there. It was sad to say goodbye to the residents and most of my co-workers. The aides that worked for me were so good to me and always worked so hard. I apppreciate them so much and am so grateful for the friendships that we have made.

They suprised me with some flowers, cards, and a gift certificate to go get a massage. How sweet! I love those girls! They were so good to me and I was completely shocked that they did that for me.

I'm super excited to go get my massage...

I start my new job tomorrow. I'm pretty happy about it. I have felt such a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I just feel like I don't have to worry about so much anymore and it's a really great feeling.

'Bout Time!!!!

All I have to say is it's about time!!!

Nothing like waiting 3 years for this bad boy to come out. However, totally worth the wait!

I'm going out on a limb here and saying this is Avril's best CD yet.

I may or may not have listened to it obsessively since I got it. I may even take the Ipod to work and listen to it throughout the day.

Shocker!

Well now I have that out of the way, here's another 'bout time thing...

I have a new job!!!

WOO!

FYI, I kind of hate my current job. My boss just gets on my nerves and likes to blame me for everything that goes wrong and yada yada yada. He is making my life/job miserable. There have been several days where I have almost walked out I have gotten so stressed, then I remember bills have to be paid so I compose myself. So for a couple months I have been looking for another job. This one is just making me onery and I now have phone phobia(everytime I get a call or a text I cringe thinking it is a problem at work).

I just reached that point where not getting compensated for the amount of work I do has worn me out. Plus, I'm kind of CNA'd out. After 5 years I need a break from it.

Then my prayers were answered.

A couple weeks ago sister, Ambo, mentioned how they were interviewing at USU in the Housing Dept. for summer help and the lightbulb turned on! DUH! I worked there for a couple of summers right after high school and loved it! All I have to do is clean(which I kind of love to do) and get paid more than I get paid now, without the stress/pressure. I know it doesn't sound like the greatest, most glamorous job but that just shows you how unhappy I am now.

For reals...anything is better!

To say I am happy is a ginormous understatement. I feel like a new person...like happy again.

I cannot even describe it.

My last day is next Thursday and then I start the Monday after at USU. I only gave my boss a week of notice but I feel like that is more than he deserved anyway. I was nice in my opinion. It kind of feels good to see him scramble to find my replacement.

The only bad thing is I will really miss my residents. They have been the only thing keeping me there. I really do love them like grandparents and I feel like I have abandoned them. But I will go visit them so that makes me feel better. I will miss them though and I hope they are taken care of.

Oh, and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Cosmic...

We went Cosmic Mini Golfing on Saturday night at Toad's. It was pretty fun, even though I lost...again. We were tied on Hole 16 and then Jared got a Hole-in-One the next two holes.

Boo.

I was quite impressed with how cool it was inside with the murals, waterfalls, ponds, etc. Except it was pretty dark most of the time so the pics are only of the lighted area but its still pretty cool.

Also:

Jared went to the Dr. on Thursday to have a check-up on his hand. The Doc says it''s healing pretty well, the bone dropped 10-15 degrees but that isn't a problem. He said he might notice when it heals that is knuckle is slightly smaller but that's all. So he took the cast of and just gave him a brace to wear for a few more weeks. YAY! He can take it off when he showers and stuff now so that's really nice. No more smelly cast. Horray!

Bowlin'

Last weekend we went bowling with my fam at good ole' Bear River Bowl! It was a good time and this just in....I am a horrible bowler! So Jared had his broken hand and had to bowl left handed. He did horrible the first game, but beat all of us except Doug on the second game. So since I was doing so badly I decided to try with my left hand(if I was going to beat Jared it had to be fair and square).

Turns out I am a left-handed bowler...still didn't beat Jared though.

We had a good time anyway. After that we went back to Kid's house for some pizza and Ligretto. Boy did we have a good time. Apparently my sisters had been up really early that morning and the later it got, the funnier everything was. Sometimes we can get a little crazy when we get together..oh well, it's good times!

Blake's favorite part was watching his green ball come back up to him. He couldn't care less about the number of pins he knocked down.
