Game Night
Sunday was our lazy day so we decided to have a game night. Mostly we were bored and slightly depressed we weren't on a golf trip to Mesquite. Plus, we got Yahtzee from Kid and Jason for Christmas(gracias) and I hadn't played it in forever. LOVE IT!

Christmas 2009
Just to warn you, this is a long post.
On Christmas Eve every year we get together with Jared's family to exchange gifts and my father-in-law, Richard, will usually have one of the kids tell the story of Jesus' birth. After that we go to a Christmas party with his mom's side of the family.
Here we are getting ready to open our presents.

My sister-in-law, Amy, drew my name. My other sister-in-law, Stefanie, drew Jared's name. They did a fabulous job conspiring with each other to make this the best Christmas ever!!!! Santa works in mysterious ways. I thank them from the very depths of my soul. Jared will never admit it, but he likes his Snuggie....I see it in his eyes.

And just to answer all the questions about whether my Christmas wish came true...
Jared's parents opening some of their gifts.
you know who wears the pants!
At the Christmas party with the Halling family
Jared and Matt being "social butterflies"
Playing basketball
As one of our gifts from Richard and Susan we got The Night Before Christmas, which made me so happy because we didn't have that book. I remember reading it as a kid on Christmas Eve, so Jared read it to me that night.
Christmas morning
Jared was spoiled with a laptop. I guess he wasn't on Santa's naughty list like I thought he would be.
Ok, I guess Santa spoiled me too. All I needed was my Snuggie and I was happy.
Later that day we went to my mom and Doug's house. My sister, AMBO,(shout out Ambo!!!) made them a calendar. Such cute!!!
Our Christmas Eve tradition is to get new jammies

DeAR SaNtA
I know I should be writing this letter and putting it in the mail, but I am a slight procrastinator so now I don't have time. Plus, I'm pretty sure you blog stalk me.
I feel like a have really tried hard to be nice this year. I know the other day I punched Jared in the arm, but I feel like he provoked me to do it. I felt bad about it after I found out that it really hurt. I apologized and everything. As far as Jared being on your "Nice" list, I don't know. He might have some explaining to do. But this is my letter, not his.
Anyway, I only want 1 thing this year. I swear I will be SOOO good if I can only get this one thing. I want a Snuggie. Actually, "want" is an understatement. I feel like there is something missing in my life...incomplete, if you will. I cuddle up on the couch and it just isn't right. If my phone rings, I have to change the channel, or I have to SUDDENLY point to the TV(which happens more than one might think) it is such a hassle! Don't even get me started on how cold my arm gets when I have to remove it from a blanket. *sigh* I NEED a Snuggie! Please, Santa! If I had a nickel for every time a said the phrase, "I need a Snuggie" I would probably have about 5 dollars. That is about 1/2 of the cost of the actual Snuggie.
So Santa, I know you are very busy this time of year and this is a late request. Please make this Christmas wish come true.
With Love,
Sarah

Should I BLOW UP!!!??!?!!!
We all remember Betsy, right? (The sweet old lady who always wants me to pray for her) Well, I love Betsy, I really do, but tonight she was pulling every little string she could to get me to lose my patience. Now I don't have kids(we all know this) but I think I felt towards Betsy tonight what parents sometimes feel towards their kids. Love, but a little frustration.
Here is how a conversation we had went (she was already in bed) She was buzzing for me to go into her room every 2 mintues, and when I go in this is what is said.
Me: "Hi Betsy, is there something you need?"
Betsy: "Some sleep"
Me: "Are you comfortable?"
Betsy: "Yes"
Me: "Is there anything I can do to help you fall asleep" ( I had already given her some Lortab, you think that would do the trick)
Betsy: "No"
Me: "Ok, but every time you push that button it tells me you need something so I come in here and wake you up. Do you understand?"
Betsy: "Yes" (and as we are talking she continues to press her call button over and over again)
Me: " Betsy you don't need to push that button when I'm right here. You only need to push that when you need something. Do you need something?"
Betsy: "No, just some sleep."
And the conversation starts over again....Welcome to the life of a CNA
So to make this post slightly less than a novel,
I have a headache and I blame Betsy.
P.S. That title was for you Anger

Here's the thing, I love PB&J sandwiches.
I also STRONGLY DISLIKE grocery shopping.
Therefore I avoid it as long as possible.
Well, yesterday the peanut butter ran out and so did the Ramen. You know its bad when you run out of Ramen...so I had to bite the bullet and go shopping.
Just in case you didn't believe me.... BEFORE

And after all that I will probably eat a PB&J for dinner

Thanksgiving Day we went to Jared's aunt Alaine's house. There is a big ole' group that goes down there for dinner. I think we had around 60 people. Holy smokes! This is the only pic I took, but the food was great and so was the company. Oh, and the Cowboys won so Jared is smiling in this picture.
When we got home that night, I just felt like we should put the tree up. So we did.

Isn't she Purrty?
I love putting up the tree. It's one of my favorite days of the year. Usually the tradish is to out it up the day after Thanksgiving, but we kind of wanted to Black Friday it up so we got it done.
And Black Friday it up we did. Here we are at about 4:30 in the morning. When you go to sleep at about 1:30 and wake up at 4, that makes it fun! Neither one of us had gone this early and thought maybe we could see some old ladies get in a fight or something but we weren't that lucky.

HavE yoU SeEN mY HusBaNd?!?!
*He has dark hair with awesome sideburns, but it's usually covered up with a Titleist or a Dallas Cowboys hat.
*When he smiles you will notice his adorable dimples.
*In his own words, "poop brown eyes"
*Last seen wearing a his Cowboys jersey and blue jeans on Sunday I miss him terribly.
If anyone has seen this boy,
please bring him home!
Disclaimer: Jared really is not missing, we just haven't seen each other since Sunday thanks to our lovely, busy lives. I was just trying to be funny.

Am I Crazy?
Jared got the night off from work tonight, which is great since I don't get to see him very much. He claimed to have this huge project due for one of his classes that is worth a significant amount of his grade....hmmm....he seemed to finish that project rather quickly today.....
If you need my husband, he is the one in front of the TV holding the Playstation controller. I know he may not be responding to anything around him, but don't worry....he is just in the ZONE
I wonder if it had anything to do with this coming out last night?

For Lack of EXCITNG News...
Welp, life is uneventful, and I happen to spend ridiculous amounts of time on youtube lately...as you might have been able to tell. I just can't stand the thought of going 2 weeks without an update. Plus, this show is amazing and you should all be watching it.

Walking Pumpkins
Now that it is October, that can mean only one thing...Pumpkin Walk. Its tradish!! For those who have never been, every year there is a different theme and people set up booths of pumpkins displaying the theme. This year the theme was Commercials.
Last year they started using a shuttle bus to transport people up there.
Aubrey and I on the bus.
Jerembo, Ambo, Carter, and Austin. Austin was pretty excited about riding the bus.
I was jealous of Blake the whole time, all cuddled up in his stroller. It was freezing outside!!!
If you have never been, you definitely should go. It is only running through Tuesday, but it is a lot funner in person. And bundle up!!!!!
