...Surprise Weekend Getaway...

 Jared is so adorable!
He surprised me this weekend for Valentine's Day with a night away at the Alaskan Inn.
We stayed in the Denali Suite.

That night we went and had dinner at Prairie Schooner. MMMMMM.....delish! First of all, you sit in covered wagons to eat your dinner! And, the entire place is decorated like you are eating outside! They have twinkle lights in the ceiling, it's dark, they have actual campfires and fake Indians sitting next to them. The atmosphere is enough alone, but the food did not disappoint!
Jared is giving me his beet from his salad. Who doesn't like beets?
After dinner we headed out for some bowling. So Fun!

We played two games, and even though it is hard to read...I have proof that I beat Jared the first game! We won't talk about the second game...not important.

Breakfast the next morning was delightful.
This is the frozen waterfall on the way down the canyon. Isn't it beautiful?
So we had a nice weekend to say the least. I love little getaways and the fact that he planned this all on his own made it so much more romantic.
Thanks, Love! You are the best!
Happy Valentine's Day!

It's A SUPER Party!

 The Superbowl Party!
I love it! It is very similar to New Year's Eve where everyone gets together and eats a bunch of junk food. So maybe that's why I like it. We enjoyed our nachos and cinnamon rolls, healthy right?
Oh, and the Giants won so that made me happy! I just don't like the Patriots or Tom Brady.
The best part was that we all wrote down our guesses on the Final Score before the game started, and guess who got it right on?
That's right! ME!
Jared said we should've gone to Vegas with that one. The winner was only supposed to get bragging rights but Doug gave me $5, since I did something so amazing...

Everyone gathered 'round for the game.
I had to hold him a time or two..

Isn't Blake such a good big brother?

Lakers vs. Jazz

I don't know why every time we go to the Jazz vs. Lakers game the Lakers end up losing, but they do. We must be bad luck or something. However, we did have a fabulous time despite the final score.
We went with Matt and Amy(we can't go see Kobe without them) and went to Z Tejas for dinner before. I had never been there but I am now a very big fan. Loved it! It's high up on my list.

The game was very exciting and there were a surprising amount of Lakers fans in the stands. There was a big group of them behind us that kept starting "Let's Go Lakers!" chants and I appreciated that.
But naturally there were more Jazz fans, even one at the end of the row who had a cowbell.
Yep, a cowbell!

Kobe shooting foul shots. This is when Cowbell man really got into it...and when Kobe would make it, Jared yelled, "MORE COWBELL!"

They look concerned, huh?

I decided I would put lots of Kobe pictures up for all the Kobe fans that look at this blog.
You are welcome!
