Why Is There A Picture of Top Ramen On My Blog?

Here are 5 facts about our neighbor who lives upstairs:

1-We call her "Top Ramen"
2-She lives alone and has long, dark, very 80s-ish permed hair.
3-One night at midnight the fire alarm for the entire building was set off. When this happens they vacate the building and everyone meets out on the lawn. Well, Top Ramen was one of the last ones out and they were still trying to make sure everyone was out of the building. She came out quite confused and asked, "Do they know who set off the alarm?" One of our other neighbors answered, "No." Top Ramen then replied, "Well, I cooked some Top Ramen at about 10 so I hope it wasn't me." WHAT!!??!! What? What a weird thing to say that makes absolutely no sense. Hence, the name Top Ramen.

4-When Top Ramen vacuums, she means business! She will vacuum FOREVER!!!! We can't even believe it. I almost feel like I should time it. As soon as we hear her vacuum turn on, we look at each other and say, "oh no!" It is a ridiculous amount of time spent vacuuming! I'm sort of curious as to what exactly is taking her so long. I mean, with as often as she does it, her floor could not possibly be THAT dirty.
5-Every once in a while we here a lot of jumping.

Our assumption: She is working out.

Our theory became more evident last weekend. We were getting ready to leave and she had been jumping around, or whatever, for a while....when all of the sudden....rap music began blasting! Not just any rap music, more like 80s-90s "Baby Got Back" type of music. I couldn't quit laughing. It was soooooo loud! It sounded like it was coming from inside our apartment. Had my video camera not had a dead battery I would have filmed it...

I almost feel as though she is a fictional character that you have to see to believe...kind of like Margaret from Nottingham, although not quite as great. I have yet to see her dance.

Oh Top Ramen....thank you for making our stay at Logan Pointe so enjoyable.

It's What Moms Are For...

The other day I decided I needed a new dress. So I called up my mom to see what days she had off this week so she could come with me. It isn't any fun to shop alone and I knew Jared would much rather I go with my mom than drag him along. Thursday we went down to Ogden and shopped the day away. We had lunch too, of course. You can't do shopping without lunch....

Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the "fruits of our labors." I had to tie my mom to the seat of the car to get this picture so I guess I should be grateful that I at least got one. Thanks mom! I had a great day!

And thanks for taking this picture with me so I could blog about it.

So why did I need a new dress? First of all, with General Conference being on Easter Sunday I thought I better have my new Easter dress this Sunday. Second, Jared and I had to speak in Sacrament today and if I was going to be forced into public speaking, I was gonna at least look good doing it!!

It went well, I think. It is always weird and obviously people will tell you that it was a good talk even if it was horrible. Everyone said I sounded not nervous....so as long as I had everyone fooled than I guess it was a success. I'm just glad it is over and I can stop worrying about it. Jared did fabulous. I think missionaries have an unfair advantage when it comes to giving talks, but he did really well and he looked very handsome.

Who Knew?

Jared and I decided we should have an NCAA Bracket Challenge for March Madness. There is something fun about March Madness. I could not care less about college basketball any other time, but give me a bracket and you give me March Madness!!

This is my bracket...All of the pink highlighted ones are teams that I picked and have won so far.
This is Jared's bracket.....
I don't know if you noticed or not, but my bracket has a significant amount more pink than Jared's does....and I LOVE IT! GO SYRACUSE!
I told him I was going to blog about this and he said, "No, I will be embarrassed!"
So I asked, "Will you be embarrassed because you are losing or will you be embarrassed because you are losing to ME?"
His reply, "Because I'm losing to you."
MAAAAAAA!!!!!
Also, Saturday night we went to my sister Melissa's house to see Blake for his birthday. I can't believe he is 2 already!!! They had his party on Friday night but Jared and I were working so we missed out. I didn't really take too many pics and I think he liked the bag more than his present, but hey...it's an awesome bag so I don't blame him!
By the way, words cannot describe how adorable he was in his track suit.

Cookie Monster

You know what is fun to do at 10:00 at night? Bake cookies.
Jared had been bugging me all day about making some, but we didn't have any chocolate chips. So we went to the store at 9:30 last night. Then we baked cookies. Jared had to help since he had delayed going to the store for so long. Only fair, right?
For some reason I think it is funny to see Jared at work in the kitchen.
I wonder if he thinks the same thing when I cook....like, "hey, this is new!"

It's Awesome...'Nuff Said

The other day we felt like we were bored and wanted to go for a drive. So we headed north. We drove up through Preston and a little further. After about nothing but...well, nothing(as you can see in the background) we decided we were hungry and should go home. We weren't finding anywhere to eat up there. Oh Idaho.....
But speaking of Idaho, we were following a car from there and they had a baked potato on the license plate...not just a regular potato... A BAKED POTATO!!! It had butter and sour cream and the whole works. I could not stop laughing about that! Oh Idaho....
After we had a good laugh about Idaho and returned home we played a little Wii Fit. I just got it this past week so I'm not good at it but I love it. Hey guess what? I have really terrible balance!! So that is great!!

Jared getting ready at the driving range....hmmm, pretty sure I got my ball closest to the hole on this one.
I had to have Jared do some yoga just to make sure I wasn't the only one who can't do this pose.
Here are some funny videos of how awesome we are at this game.
Jared is doing the rhythm boxing(ha ha!!!) and I am doing the ski jump one....not my best performance.
