City Creek

A few weeks after it opened, we went down to the new City Creek Mall in SLC to see what it was all about. It's fancy! I feel like I need to be richer to shop at most of the stores there, but I still enjoyed walking around, especially Tiffany's. Yes, please! 

We may or may not have found a few things that we couldn't live without.

It was a really great day. Lots of shopping with the person I love most and dinner at Z Tejas.

 What more could I ask for?

I mean, Jared just LOVES shopping so much! I know he wanted to stay later, but I was like, "No Jared! We have already spent a lot of money and I just don't like to shop for 8 hours and I'm only doing this because I know how happy it makes you," Or maybe it was Jared that said that to me. It's a little blurry.
(Disclaimer: The last paragraph was pure sarcasm.)

Easter, Easter, Easter...

Easter weekend was super busy, as usual, but I loved every second of it!

We had a lot of family times and it was nice.

Saturday we went to Mantua for the Annual Easter Picnic.

We roasted hot dogs and looked for Easter eggs.

 Then we went home and played some Easter Bingo that Susan gave to us. I don't remember who won, probably me. We'll just say me.

 Sunday we went and celebrated with my family in Tremonton.

That was our Easter. We enjoyed the time spent with family because we really do have the best families and are so grateful for them. What a wonderful time of year!

Also...

 I knew I was forgettting things when I did my earlier posts.

Our nephew, Jordan, left on his mission a few weeks ago. He is serving in the Argentina, Salta Mission and we are all very proud of him. Jared and Jordan have always been close and I know it was very hard to say goodbye for 2 years, but we know he is where the Lord wants him to be.

We are all grateful for the example he is to all of us.

While Jared was in Arizona this past week I went with my sister and her kids to the The Lorax. It was a really cute movie and all the kids were SO GOOD! The key was popcorn and candy. They sat there like little angels the entire time, it was great! Thanks Kid for entertaining me several times this past week while I was alone. It's appreciated.

Part II

Once again, we had our friendly NCAA Bracket Challenge against each other. Usually I am excited about this post, but not this year. I lost. Badly. Jared picked the winner and everything. Good job dear!

 To make up for it and to be really sweet to me before he left for Arizona he brought me these!

In other big news, our nephew Lucas was blessed a couple of weeks ago.

 Jason made some delightful pulled pork for lunch that we are all enjoying.

 Your eyes are not deceiving you, Jared IS sweeping! Take a good look folks, you won't be seeing it again anytime soon.

So that is the last 6 weeks in a nutshell. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but I will try to be more up to date. Sorry mom and Doug, I know I'm in trouble for my lack of updates.

This weekend is Easter, though, and that brings many great activities. I love Easter! It is such a great time to reflect on our Savior and all he has done for us. I am so grateful for the knowledge we have of the Resurrection and the love of our Savior. Happy Easter everyone!

Finally A Post...

Hello old friend. I have not been in a blogging mood lately, obviously, but here goes. I have lots of things to talk about.

I don't even know where to start.  The last couple of months have been a little crazy and it's not looking like it will slow down. Spring is here; which I love. The weather has been lovely and I cannot wait for summer. Nothing makes me happier than hearing the birds chirping and seeing the flowers blooming. The grass is turning green, golf is on tv(oddly enough that makes me happy), people are outside riding their bikes(I want a bike!), and life is just happy.

Work is going well for both of us. I am actually not dreading the summertime at work. I will be working on the floors crew which makes me happy. It will be nice to have a little break from cleaning Aggie Village Apts. for a few months. Plus, I get to have the same boss so that makes it nice.

Jared is enjoying work as well. He got back yesterday from being in Arizona for a week at a Warfighters School, whatever that means. Needless to say, it was a long week without him here and I'm glad it's over.

Other than work, here are some recent happenings(by recent I mean since February);

One night we built a fort in our living room!

I realize that we are adults and this is slightly immature but it was fun. We pulled out mattress off of our bed and built the fort around it so we could sleep in the fort! All I have to say is one day we will be really cool parents.

 ...and I won!

 I was just a little excited that the new Hunger Games movie was out. I was one of those that bought tickets like a month before and was couting down the days. My whole family had read the books(except Jerembo..don't worry we made him feel left out) and so we all decided to go together.

 Caravan!

 We went to The Junction in Ogden because then we could reserve our seats and not worry about standing in line. Greatest idea!

 Then we had some dinner at Chuck-A-Rama.

It was such a fun night! Good movie, good food, good company, good times!
