We LOVE You....

This past Sunday Jared's grandpa Halling passed away. It has been a tough week. Jared was extremely close with his grandpa, as were all of his grandkids. Since I have only been a part of this family for a short time I did not know him as well as I wish I would have. I did know he was the kindest, most loving person I have ever met. That is something you would know from the second you met him. He always would put a smile on your face and make you feel welcome. I remember after I first met Jared he was talking about his grandpa and how great of a man he is. Anytime he talkes about his grandpa you can tell the admiration and respect he has for him. Jared always says, "If I can be even half the man that grandpa is..."
His funeral was today we were just sitting here talking about him and Jared was telling me some of his memories. Like how he would go over and irrigate in the summer, mow his lawn, go for drives through Mantua with him, and just sitting out on the porch for hours talking. I remember going over to Jared's parents house for Sunday dinner and his grandpa would come. He would always give us advice, make us laugh, and let us know that he loved us. I feel like I am not doing justice as to how much he was loved and respected by everyone he knew. He was such a sweet man and he will be greatly missed.

I'm so glad you have a blog, too :) I love keeping in touch with everyone.
I didn't know Grandpa very long, either, but I do know that I'm going to miss him! I am so grateful I was able to meet and get to know him a little bit. I wish I got to meet Grandma Halling :( But they're together again now so that makes me smile :D.
