Brigham City Temple...

A few weeks ago we went to the Brigham City Temple Open House with the Jeppsens.
Don't we all look so nice?
I loved it! Even though it was super crowded and super hot, it was wonderful. It was amzing to me how you can always feel the strong spirit in the temple. It is absolutely lovely inside and I loved how they incorporated peaches into so much of it.  I had never been to an Open House before and this was a great place to start. It is still crazy to me that Brigham City has a Temple but I love it! I love driving home from work each day and seeing it as a come out of the canyon, it's always a good reminder.

#5

"I would go on choosing you
And you would go on choosing me
Over and over again
That's how it would happen every time"
-Sandol Stoddard Warburg

On August 11, 2012 it was our Fifth Anniversary.
I got 2 of my very favorite things, Roses and Hugs!
We had a lovely day. We made breakfast together, went shopping for a new fridge and washer/dryer(I enjoyed it), had dinner at the Olive Garden and went to a movie.

Every day that passes I love this boy more and more. It's like the Brad Paisley song, 'Then'.
I really think I couldn't possibly love him any more than I do but it happens.
Jared, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I love that we don't fight.
I love when you hold my hand.
I love your smile.
I love that we always want to be around one another.
I love that you make me laugh.
I love that we support each other.
I love that you will be a great dad.
I love that you chose me.
I LOVE YOU!

Happy Anniversary!

House Update...

Pretty much every night we go and look at our house. I guess we might be a little excited about it...just a little. It's so fun because each day we notice the little things they have done and things are coming together so nicely now. It's almost done which is CRAZY! We love it so much! They have done lots to the outside as well, poured the driveway, painted the front door, started levelling the ground to put in a sprinkling system and hydroseed, poured the sidewalk and front porch, and probably things that I haven't even noticed.

I mostly only have pics of the kitchen but that is where we have noticed the biggest changes.
In the last couple of weeks we went from here...
 To here...
 To here...
Oh, and they finished our fireplace. I am absolutely in love with this.
Today I am going to spray paint where we want our flower gardens outside in the yard so they can start the landscaping process. Why is Jared not coming? He is deer hunting right now in Scipio so I'm on my own(good thing mom and Doug are coming over so they can help).
So things are coming along nicely and on schedule. Our builder said he would be able to close by the 24th but our Lender won't be ready by then because they just got the appraisal done and it takes like 2 weeks after that for the loan to be ready or something. I don't understand it all, but whatever. So hopefully Labor Day weekend we are moving!
It's tradition!

A Friday Night...

Jared, myself, and his sister. Jennie, went mini golfing. First we went and grabbed a burger at Call's, then golfed. It was a good night and a lot of fun. Jared beat the both of us unfortunately, but I'm used to it.
Thanks Jennie for going with us. We will have to do it again soon.

The Great Outdoors...

We went camping this weekend with my family and it was great! I love camping so much, even if I do have a tent. One of these days we will have a truck and a trailer and we can go all the time. I look forward to that day. The thing I love the most is how you completely get away from everything. No cell phones, no distractions, nothing to stress about. Just you and the great outdoors.
Plus, how great is mountain air? The best smell ever!
We had lots of fun, of course!
We got there Friday afternoon and IT WAS HOT! It was hot all weekend, even in the shade. But once the sun went down, it was freezing. I froze slash didn't sleep Friday night so that wasn't very fun, but the next day we got extra blankets from mom and Doug and slept great Saturday night.
We played cards. Once. Which is kind of strange because we are usually major gamers. I think the heat just made everyone not want to do anything but sit there and try not to sweat.
Doug made some dutch oven enchiladas Friday night which were awesome! Saturday night Melissa and Jason made Teriyaki chicken, fried rice, and grilled corn on the cob.  See we eat well on our camping trips! That's one of the best things about my family, they love to cook! Not only do they love to cook, but they are good at it. They always want to try new things and be creative about it. I think that gene skipped me, because I would rather do almost anything than cook. However, I love that they love it.

Grandpa Doug and the boys enjoyed shooting things. They had a sling shot and a pellet gun and when someone finished a soda, this is what happened.
I brought my guitar and serenaded everyone.
I don't know what this rubber-band gun is called, but it was way cool. You shoot the orange part into the air and, if done properly, it flies high and then floats down like a propeller. I caught on quick with shooting it, Jared struggled though. For some reason this made me happy. He is usually so good at things that it was nice for once to beat him at something. He practiced lots and by the end of the weekend he got the hang of it.

Lucas chilled in his playpen sometimes when all of us didn't want to hold him. He is just so cute!
These 3 boys are best friends and do EVERYTHING together. Playing in the river was their favorite thing, but they had to have sticks to use as weapons, of course.
We made sure to eat lots of good food.
Jeremy cooking up some breakfast.
Chilling in our man-made shade.

Yes, Jason is shooting water into Luke's mouth with a squirt gun. Don't judge, Luke liked it!
This is what we did to keep cool. It felt amazing!
And this is what Blake did to keep cool.
We had such a fun time. I'm ready to go again! Only next time we need to go to a spot with more shade.
