This Is Exciting...

This is the post I have really been excited about so I have been rushing through all the others to get to this one.

Look what we bought!

Could we be any more excited!?

No we could not!

All I have to say is, FINALLY!

We decided a while ago that once we got back from our Cruise we would get serious about finding a house. Well, we were for a few months but we didn't like any of the homes we looked at. We were looking at older homes first, like 20-30 years old that had been remodeled, but we never loved any of them. We never even wanted to go see any of them. Brigham City just didn't have much to offer. We thought about building and started comparing costs and looking at Lots for Sale. It has been quite a process.

One night we were driving around Perry and saw this beauty. I loved it from the outside and it was still under construction. We called the Realtor and on a Thursday night we went and looked at it. By Friday night we had put in an offer(with a verbal acceptance from the Builder) and by Monday night our loan had been approved and sent in and whatever they do with it.

Basically, it seems like it went really fast but at the same time we had been looking for a while.

We just felt so good about the home. We loved everything about it and we feel like we got a really great deal on it.

As you can see, the outside is almost done. They are still working on the inside. We had them add a fireplace and they are going to finish the yard for us. Tonight we went to look at it and they have started painting. Soon they will start putting in the cabinets and such. It is so exciting! We are still able to do a few changes to make it our own. We went and bought a kitchen sink today and it was fun. I never knew how fun Lowe's and Home Depot are. Also, they can take your money real easily.

Hopefully when they are done painting I can take some pics of the inside. I want to have all the different steps of the process. The good news is they are hoping to be done with it by the end of August, which works out perfectly since that is when the lease on our apartment ends.

Eveything about this is so perfect and meant to be. We feel so good about it and are excited to finally be Homeowners! Jared and I decided we are finally grown-ups!

YAY!

Twin 2012...

Guess what? It was time for the Annual Twin Falls, Idaho Golf Trip! Woo. Don't everyone cheer at once...I don't have very many pictures, but there really isn't anything to take pictures of after you go every year. It was kind of different this time without Richard and Susan there, we missed them! Jared and Matt said it was really weird without their dad to golf with. But we made it through. We had a minor hotel switch Friday morning before the guys golfed because the Shiloh Inn in Idaho is nasty. I do not recommend it. It all turned out ok and they made their tee time. We(Myelf, Amy, and the kids) went shopping on Friday and on Saturday took the kids to Hop 2 It. Pretty much what we do every year...

This was the worst part of the trip, realizing you are entering Idaho! Hey do you know why the wind blows so hard in Northern Utah? It's because Idaho sucks! HaHA! (All Idahoans who read this blog, don't get offended it is only a joke. It is my duty as a Utahn to make Idaho jokes.)

Satuarday night we got hoome just in time for the Mantua Fireworks show.  Once again I forgot the camera. If Jared was reading this he would say, "I'm glad I bought you that nice fancy camera so you could forget to take it with you all the time."
Anyway, I didn't get any photos but they looked a lot like the fireworks they had in Brigham City. Weird, huh?

Goodbye Time...

July 16th finally came and we weren't very excited about it. That was the day Jared's parents left on their Mission. The night before we went to the Stake Center where they were set apart as Missionaries. It was really spiritual and nice. We all cried. We are very happy for them and know thay are where they are supposed to be but we will still miss them. Thank goodness for Skype! That is the great thing about Senior Campanions, they can call us and we can call them.

We know they will have a wonderful experience and touch many lives. We love you guys!

Birthday Party...

On the 7th of July my niece, Aubrey, turned 10! What?! Her mother must be getting old...

I can't believe she is already 10! Not to sound cliche' or anything, but I remember the day she was born.

*sigh*

Anyway, we had a party for her. I was quite excited because I had the perfect idea. Aubrey is not a fan of Justin Bieber. I am not sure how a 10 year old girl cannot be a fan of him but I am(that's beside the point, though). So to be funny and tease her a little bit, I got her a Bieber card that sang "Baby" when she opened it. It was quite hilarious to everyone but her. I got it on video but it's mostly just a bunch of kackling from my sisters and me. Plus, some angry looks from Aubrey.

I think she secretly loved it.

 Oh, and Lucas got a haircut. As you can see, it was much needed. He looked like he was wearing a toupee(and not in a good way).

Independence Day 2012...

Happy Fourth of July! I love this Holiday so much. I don't know what it is about fireworks, but they make me happy.  Every year we go to the park in Brigham City and watch fireworks with the Jeppsens. It's tradish.

Here we all are. We play games, eat chicken, and chat while we wait for dark.
