Well, it was kind of a blind date...You see my mom has this friend who happened to work with Jared, her name is Venna. And Venna is quite the matchmaker. She also set up my mom and stepdad and they are like the two happiest people ever so I figured I could trust her judgement. Anyway I was living in Provo at the time and for weeks my mom kept telling me that Venna was going to give my number to this "cute returned missionary who likes basketball" that she worked with. I admit I was skeptical that he would call. So the weeks passes by and one day I was on my way home from my friend's house and my phone rang. I answered, was amused at how adorable this boy on the other end of the line sounded, and the rest is history. We actually talked on the phone for about 3 hours everyday for a week until we actually met and that is why I'm not sure it was really a blind date. We already had our own inside jokes.
When was your first kiss?
Our first date was on Feb. 3 and the next day was the Super Bowl. He came over that next day to our party and that night he kissed me....He so wanted to on our first date but he was scared, and I'm old fashioned so he had to initiate it.
How long did you date before you got married?
Weeeelllll, met Feb. 3, engaged May 21, married Aug. 11....not very long at all....
How long have you been married?
Exactly a year and a half tomorrow
What does he do that surprises you?
Almost everyday when I come home from work he has done the dishes and made the bed before he leaves for work. And he will even do laundry about once a week because he knows I absolutely dread it. Not only does he wash the laundry, but he folds it and puts it away...it is wonderful. And then he like to write me little notes and put them on the fridge. Also this last Sunday he suprised me when we had to give our first lesson to our Sunday School class and he just gave it with such ease and confidence and he knows so much about the gospel it is unbelievable. Thanks for settin' that bar so high...really appreciate it...ha ha jk.
What is your favorite feature of his?
I love love love Jared's dimples and I pray every night that our kids have them. And I love his dark brown eyes and how he gets those little wrinkles around them when he smiles...so cute!
What is his best quality?
He is always concerned about me way more than himself. He is the most unselfish person I have ever met and I have no doubt that he would do anything for me.
Does he have a nickname for you?
He usually calls me "sweetie" or "cute little thing"
What is his favorite food?
Jared is not picky at all...and no that is not a fat joke....but he loves him some ribs
What is his favorite sport?
It depends. To play it is definately basketball but he likes to watch football more.
What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to go to movies and out to dinner. And when we are lucky we get to go on Vacay and we love that. Even if it is just going to SLC for the night we always have so much fun. But our Cruise was def. our favorite.
Does he have any children?
Ummm....no
Does he have any hidden talents?
I think Jared has a lot of talents that might be hidden to a lot of people because he is a little on the quiet side around those he doesn't know well. But one thing you do learn about him is that he is hilarious and can put a smile on anyone's face. And he is a really good kisser and that is something that no one else knows...;)
How old is he?
24
Who said "I love you" first?
Ha..that was Jared. He was not afraid to tell me. I, however, was way too scared to say it. I had never said it before to a boy and was terrified. He had to be patient and wait like a month before I got the courage to say it back to him. I'm a dork.
What is his favorite kind of music?
Well now that he knows me he has really great taste in music..ha. He likes Metallica which I find strange because I'm not a huge fan, but he justs listens to what I listen to..a bit of everything.
What is his favorite color?
Blue
What do you admire most about him?
I love how hard working and smart Jared is. He has so much on his plate with work and school and he never complains about any of it. I whine and I don't have half the things to do that he does. He always gets such good grades and he deserves it. I know that he will always put the needs of our family above his own and that means a lot to me. That is the kind of father I want my kids to have and I know that is the type of father he will be. And I love watching him with our nieces and nephews, they just adore him.
Will he read this?
Oh I'm sure he checks our blog at least 3 times a night while he is at work....

Awe - I loved that! I really haven't known the details of your meeting and dating...etc. It was way fun to read! I smiled a lot thinking of how timid Jared is and thinking of him in those situations. You guys really are such a sweet couple - You are very good for him. These Jeppsen men are the best around! Adam helps out a lot too....we are such spoiled gals! Thanks for sharing :)
Super Cute, I'm glad you found Jack and you guys get along so good!
Laundry?? Dishes??? He needs to teach Matt a few things!! I'm with ya on the wrinkles around the eyes-Matt has them too, and I love them! So, for your babies...you pray for dimples, and I'll pray for a spitter-upper! haha :)
