This is how we rang in the New Year...
Lots and lots of food...
Family...
And games...
We are gamers....
It was fun. I love New Years Eve. I love the feeling of a fresh start. It's always fun to look back on the previous year. Reminisce, think of what you would like to change, look forward to the future.
For some odd reason I like setting resolutions. Sometimes I am successful, sometimes I am not. But I enjoy it. I have lots of resolutions(or as I want to think of them) "things that I want to have happen and I will do what I can to make it happen" things. That's a good title, right?
I was reading what I had posted last year around New Years and things that would be happening. I talked about Jared graduating and starting his career. I talked about how I was boss at Williamsburg and I basically hated it. (Just being honest.) So it's funny to read that now. Graduation has happened. Career has happened. We moved into our own apartment. I am no longer boss and that is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Lost a loved one and gained some more along the way. Life is normal for the first time ever. This was a big year, hopefully this next year will be even better.
Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see into the future. I try it with a Magic 8 Ball every once in a while but I just don't know how reliable those things are. I'm a planner. I like to know when things are going to happen and prepare for it. But the future is a crazy thing and we just never know what is in store for us. That is what makes life so exciting and so frustrating all at the same time, I guess. I need to learn patience. Add that to the Resolution list.
Here's To 2012! (just pretend I am holding a glass of Sparkling Grape Juice and making a toast)
