For The Anniversh...

So Wednesday was our 3rd Anniversary and Jared and I both had the day off so that made me happy. I thought I was going to have to talk him into calling in but he surprised me that he had already taken the day off..yay! So Tuesday night while Jared was at work I made him chocolate covered strawberries because I felt that was an appropriate food for an Anniversh. To be honest, I thought they would be a disaster...let's face it, I'm not marvelous in the kitchen and I had never attempted such a dessert but I think they actually turned out pretty fabulous...
Then of course Jared had flowers for me when he got home...cute. So anyway, the reason for the chocolate covered strawberries was I wanted to take Jared on a night-time picnic when he got off work. Since that is about 11 o'clock at night I didn't think sandwiches would have been that good. So we went to Merlin Olsen Park and had us a little picnic and watched the stars in our jammies. It was romantic and fun. We talked about our wedding day and reminisced about the last 3 years.

The next morning we went shopping and to lunch. We decided to stop by the Weber County Fair, but turns out that was a big ole' waste of time. What a tiny, not very fun fair. Which is why I have no pics. Seriously the best part was our hand stamps.

Our original plan had been to celebrate on Saturday since we thought we would be working Wednesday. We had tickets to see Real Salt Lake and I was excited. I have always been quite a fan of soccer, I think they are amazing athletes and I always wished I would have played when I was younger. Anyway, we have wanted to go to a game for a while and we finally got the chance.

Real Salt Lake won and it was so much fun! Everytime a goal was scored the crowd was absolutely going nuts! Even when there weren't goals being scored the crowd is really into the game and that made it fun to watch. We decided we will be attending more games in the future.
It was a lovely way to celebrate and I am so grateful to Jared and all he does for me. I never doubt that he would do anything to make me happy and I hope he knows I would do the same for him. I just love him!

Happy! I want strawberries! of the chocolate covered variety! Also, I would probably be available and conveniently located to a Real game. I'm just saying ;)
