Green Thumb

Today my thumb turned green.

Here's how it all started:

A couple of years ago Jared and I were given a planter made from wood from Jared's grandpa's shed or something. I can't remeber what it is from but it's super cute and I have just never done anything with it. It just sits there. I am not the gardening type and I have never planted flowers. I have thought many times before I should go buy some flowers and plant some. But I just assumed I would mess them up and they would die. I honestly have no knowledge of these things...I know what roses look like and that's about it.

So today my mom and Doug came over to Logan. They are big into gardening and Doug always grows lots of veggies during the summer. So we were walking through the gardening section at Walmart and I thought to myself, "Self, you should buy some flowers and put them in that planter out on the balcony." Then I answered self and thought, "Yep, I should."
So I did. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!!
I even know what kind of flowers are in there...pansies and marigolds...BAM!
I can't even wait to have a house with a garden and lots of flowers. I was asking my mom and Doug all kinds of questions about flowers and planting them and all that jazz. I am pretty sure I will be asking my mother-in-law, Susan, about it too because she knows her stuff. Get ready for me to be awesome at planting things and not killing them!

Next step: Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter for the balcony...you heard.

BAM! Haha love it. And I've seriously looked into a tipsy turbey tomato planter. So let me know if they really work. :)

Oh man, my phone decided to help me on my spelling. I'm not a complete idiot. (well you know...) :) I meant TOPSEY TURVEY before it "fixed" them.

Niiice! They're cute little pansies and marigolds! Hope you don't kill 'em (but if you do, no biggie, they're pretty cheap) We're doing a garden this year too-hence the "project" I blogged about. So I hope my thumb gets its green on too.

PS Anger's comment is great! Love it!
